SRINAGAR: A 19-year-old boy drowned in a pond at the Children’s Park in Gulmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Tahir from Reasi district, had entered the pond for a bath but drowned due to his inability to swim.
Tahir was working as a labourer in Gulmarg and was earning his livelihood in the area.
He was immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital in Gulmarg, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Further investigation into the incident is underway. (KNS)
