According to the police statement, during past one month’ 103 vehicles including 18 civil and 02 tourists suffered damage at the hands of ‘miscreants’ in stone pelting at various places in South Kashmir, Districts of Islamabad, Pulwama, Awantipora, Kulgam and Shopian. The vehicles also include 35 Police, 45 CRPF and 03 government vehicles.
Besides damage to vehicles, the statement added that the ‘miscreants’ also damaged the windowpanes of Court complex Dooru and Rest house.
“Windowpanes and 02 Desktop computers of a private company at Semthan were also damaged, besides a Hotel in Pulwama and an animal husbandry building in Shopian,” read the statement.
“In tackling the situation, 192 persons including 109 policemen and 73 CRPF personnel were injured. 10 civilians were also injured,” it added.,
