SRINAGAR
Two persons died while eight others were injured in separate road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Wednesday.
A Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK01T / 5286 driven by Javed Ahmad Najar resident of Nowhar, Chari-Sharief hit and injured a 05 year old boy Yasir Ahmad son of Rayees Ahmad resident of Litter Aglar Shopian at Bus Adda Chrar-i- Sharief. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Char-i-Sharief for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police has arrested the driver of the vehicle and seized the vehicle.
Meanwhile, an unknown tractor hit a 05 year boy Rehaan Ahmad Rather son of Azad Ahmad resident of Chaki Ranbirpora at Chaki Ranbirpora, D.H Pora, resulting in his on spot death.
In another accident, a Tata Nano bearing registration number JK16/1454 driven by Waseem Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah resident of Mangloora hit a Motorcycle at Mangloora, Tangmarg, resulting in critical injuries to motor cyclist Naseer Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Hassan and pillion Mushtaq Ahmad Reshi son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Pariswani.
Both the injured were shifted to JVC hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
In another accident, a tipper bearing registration number JK04B-5955 driven by Javid Ahmad Sofi resident of Pathlibagh, Budgam hit a motor cycle bearing registration number JK05B/3441 near Wullar Vintage Park, resulting in injuries to the motor cyclist Khursheed Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Sultan Wani resident of Bihama Ganderbal. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Bandipora for treatment.
In another accident, a Santro car bearing registration number DL2LAD/5114 collided with a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK01M/0011 at Bypass near Master Pro Engineering College, Nowgam, resulting in injuries to 05 persons including Santro driver. All the injured were shifted to JVC, SMHS and SKIMS Soura, Srinagar hospitals for treatment.
