Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered eight kilograms fukki from their possession.
A spokesperson in a statement said that Police Station Maisuma established a motor vehicle checking point at Badshah Bridge in their jurisdiction. During checking, a Tavera bearing registration number JKO4B 7225 was intercepted.
“On search, 3 kilograms of fukki like substance concealed in three green polythene packets weighing around 1 kg each was recovered. Besides on personal search of two persons boarding the vehicle namely Tara Chand and Harchavan Singh residents of Punjab, fukki like substance weighing about 2 ½ kilograms each concealed in their handmade jackets was recovered,” the police spokesman said.
“In this regard, a case FIR number 17 /2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered and an investigation has been taken up,” said Police spokesman in a statement.
