Amid tension between India and Pakistan, army on Wednesday claimed it foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district by killing two militants.
An army official said that troops along the LoC in Keran sector noticed a group of militants trying to sneak into this side from across the LoC around this morning.
“The militants fired upon by the troops, which was retaliated triggering an encounter in which two militants were killed,” the army officer said.
