SRINAGAR: Shreya Singhal on Friday assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency (J&K ERA), the nodal agency responsible for implementing externally funded infrastructure projects across the Union Territory.

Shortly after assuming office, Singhal convened an introductory meeting with senior officials of the agency to familiarise herself with ongoing initiatives and the agency’s operational structure.
During the meeting, officials provided a detailed briefing on the World Bank-funded Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP), one of the agency’s flagship programmes initiated in the aftermath of the devastating 2014 floods. As per the briefing, 200 out of 213 sub-projects under JTFRP have been successfully completed to date, with the remaining projects currently progressing toward completion.
The new CEO acknowledged the efforts of the agency’s officers and expressed hope that the team would continue to work with the same dedication to ensure tangible improvements in infrastructure development throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
