SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has posted Abdul Jabbar, IPS (AGMUT: 2008), to the Jammu Kashmir segment of the Joint AGMUT Cadre with immediate effect following his return from Central Deputation.
The order, issued by the Ministry on August 25, said Jabbar will remain posted to the JK segment until further orders.
According to the order issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Jabbar reported to the cadre on August 24. The period between his reporting and the issuance of the posting order has been treated as “awaiting posting”.
The decision was taken with the approval of the Competent Authority, the order said.
Jabbar’s posting follows his repatriation from Central Deputation to the Joint AGMUT Cadre.
