SRINAGAR: In the first month of the year 2022, 21 militants have been killed in eleven different encounters across the valley, including five militants killed in two separate gunfights in Pulwama and Budgam districts on Sunday.
IGP Kashmir while addressing a joint press conference at Army Headquarters Balpora Shopian said that 21 militants have been killed in eleven different encounters across the valley in January so far.
He said that of the 21, 13 militants were linked with proscribed outfit JeM and eight are foreign militants.
He also termed the killing of five militants in dual encounters in last 12 hours as a big success and congratulated the joint forces for conducting anti-militant operations.
