22 Flights Cancelled at Srinagar Airport Due to Gusty Winds

   

SRINAGAR: Gusty winds disrupted flight operations at Srinagar International Airport on Friday, resulting in the cancellation of 22 flights and widespread delays throughout the day.

An official said that wind speeds reached 17 knots, gusting up to 27 knots, severely impacting operations. “Due to the weather conditions, the airport could accommodate only 11 arrivals and 11 departures from 6:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.,” the official said.

In addition to the cancellations, two flights were diverted, while most remaining services faced significant delays, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation. Travellers have been advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines for real-time updates on departures and arrivals. (JKNS)
