SRINAGAR: In a chilling incident, a 22-year-old individual has been apprehended in Srinagar on Monday for the heinous act of raping a minor, according to the police.
One Accused namely Zaid Feroz of old barzulla, Srinagar aged 22 years arrested for raping a 12 year old child (name withheld). The accused is close relative of victim girl child. Srinagar Police conveyed through a tweet, “One accused by the name of Zaid Feroz, aged 22, hailing from Old Barzulla, Srinagar, has been arrested for the rape of a 12-year-old child (identity withheld). The accused happens to be a close relative of the victimized young girl. An FIR numbered 56/2023 has been registered under sections 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act at Sadar Police Station, and an investigation has been initiated.”
Further investigation in the case is going on.
