Central Co-operative Bank (CCB) Baramulla has issued 22,000 Kissan Credit Cards (KCCs) to the farmers of Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara districts so far.

This was stated in an officers meeting of the Bank here today with Chairman, Central Cooperative Bank, Baramulla in chair.

As per a statement the meeting was informed that under the various government sponsored schemes, 30,000 beneficiaries have been provided Rs 35 crores as financial assistance by the Bank for setting up of income generating units. Besides Rs 40 crores were provided to the farmers under the horticulture and Rs 15 crore under the transportation sector.

The Chairman stressed upon the functionaries of the Bank to expedite the disposal of the cases to provide better banking facilities to the people and improve their performance.
