Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch Lal Singh Wednesday informed the House that 226 posts of Consultants and various posts of Non-Gazetted Cadres have been referred to the concerned recruiting agencies.
He said in addition, the process of forwarding the posts of more than 300 Allopathic Medical Officers and about 90 posts of ISM Medical officers is under consideration.
Replying to the main question by Hakeem Mohammad Yasin in LA, the Minister said that basic facilities like building infrastructure, Hospital equipment and diagnostic services have been provided to SDH Khansahib and SDH Kremshora as per the status of a Sub District Hospital.
The Minister said one additional building for SDH Khansahib has been approved under NHM funding at a cost of Rs 1.74 Crore, against which Rs 1 Crore is available. He said the work on the Hospital building will be taken up shortly.
The Minister further said that new building for SDH Kremshora at an estimated cost of Rs 2.73 crore is nearing completion. He also informed the House that CT scan machines are being provided for District Hospitals only.
The Minister also informed that against 13 B-Grade specialists, 5 are in position, while as against sanctioned 113 paramedics, 70 are in position in District Budgam.
