Twenty six persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley, police said on Monday.

As per a statement a 407 passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK03/ 4181 rammed in to a tree at Ashmuqam, Islamabad, resulting in injuries to twenty-two passengers including the driver. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

In another accident a Motorcycle driven by Zahid Ahmad Mir son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Kralhar, skidded of the road near Khanpora Bridge, Baramulla resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. The injured has been shifted to the hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

In another accident a Santro bearing registration number JK04B/8501 and a Van bearing registration number JK01C/8710 collided at Ichgam, Budgam, resulting minor injuries to the Van driver Ghulam Hyder Bhat son of Ghulam Mohiudin resident of Ichgam. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Budgam for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

Two persons were injured when an Alto car bearing registration number JK05D/766 and an Army vehicle collided with each other at Palhallan on the Highway, this afternoon. Both the injured Mohammad Altaf Lone and Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh residents of Uri have been shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard and have seized the Army vehicle.
