District Administration Islamabad is committed to ensure proper rehabilitation of flood affected families in the district as per government’s relief and rehabilitation policy, an official statement said on Tuesday quoting District Development Commissioner Islamabad at Sudsuna today while handing over 26 temporary shelter sheds among flood affected families of the village.

“These shelter sheds have been constructed by District Administration through R&B Department Anantnag Division in a record period of two month at a cost of Rs. 3.50 lakh each,” the statement informed.

DDC Islamabad assured that no flood affected family will be allowed to suffer especially during the winter season and the affected 9339 houseless families have been provided a relief of Rs. 11.57 Cr and rent charges for three months have already been transferred to the accounts of houseless.

“A total rent amount of Rs. 53.91 lakh have so far been transferred to the accounts of houseless flood victims as rental charges.”
