SRINAGAR: Jammu and KASHMIR police on Saturday arrested a 27-year-old woman between Gangbugh and Khumani Chowk in Srinagar, reportedly carrying around 3.65 grams of heroin, officials said.
An official said that acting on specific intelligence, police from Tengpora–Batamaloo intercepted the woman in the Bund area between Gangbugh and Khumani Chowk.
“Upon searching her, they recovered 3.65 grams of heroin from her possession. An investigation has been initiated, and further actions in line with legal proceedings are underway,” he said. (KNO)
