SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested husband-wife drug peddlers and recovered Contraband substances from their possession in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that Police Station Budgam received information that one couple living in a rented accommodation near Railway Station Budgam and are actively involved in sale of contraband substance.
“During search of the said place , police party recovered 4 Grams of Heroin like substance,01 digital balance and some insulin syringes,” said the spokesman.
He said that the duo has been arrested and identified as Shah Faisal son of Gulzar Ahmed Shah and Nowsheen Faisal wife of Shah Faisal, residents of Mohanpora Ompora Budgam.
“Case FIR number 274/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up,” he added.
