In connection with Pulse Polio Immunization-2016, about 29,000 children will be administered anti-polio drops in Sumbal Sub Division on January 17 (Sunday).
For the purpose, 132 pulse polio centres have been setup in the division, an official spokesperson said on Friday.
This was stated during a meeting of officers concerned with Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal in chair.
The meeting was told that for smooth conduct of immunization programme, 27 supervisors, 155 Anganwari workers, 134 health workers and 247 ASHA workers have been engaged. For effective and smooth conduct of the drive, the sub division has been divided into three zones viz Hajin, Sumbal and Ajas.
