Srinagar

Authorities have restored 2G internet in Kashmir valley after blocking the services for a day on the first anniversary of militant commander Burhan Wani, killed in an encounter with forces in Bamdoora village of southern Kashmir’s Islamabad.

The internet was shut and restored for number of time during past few days but the complete shutdown on the internet services came into force on Friday afternoon.

Government had ordered service providers to enforce internet shutdown to thwart people from using internet to mobilize people.

However, high-speed internet is yet to be restored and officials refused to comment when asked about restoration of 3G, 4G services.
