47 persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley, sources said on Friday. The injured included 33 Amarnath yatris.

At least 33 persons, mostly Amarnath pilgrims, were injured on Friday when a bus coming from Baltal base camp turned turtle at Sumbal in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, sources said.

A bus carrying Amarnath pilgrims from Baltal to Srinagar turned turtle at Sumbal, as the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve, they said.

33 persons were injured in the accident.

All the injured have been hospitalised, the official said.

Meanwhile, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-1806 skidded off the road and fell down into river Jehlum at Ashaji Pora bridge, in Islamabad, resulting in injuries to eleven passengers. All the injured have been shifted to District Hospital, Islamabad for treatment.

In another accident, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03A/5025 skidded off the road at Kanchloo Kund, in Kulgam, resulting in injuries to a passenger Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Aril Kund. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.

A Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK03D/1782 turned turtle at Gadwal, in Kokernag, Islamabad resulting in injuries to 2 passengers.  Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
