The government on Wednesday refused to disclose names of Kashmiri militants who returned from Pakistan administrated Kashmir (PaK) availing the rehabilitation package for ‘alienated youth’. Independent lawmaker Engineer Rashid had sought this information.

However, the government informed the house that so far 117 persons have returned from PaK, apparently availing the package, using Nepal as a transit route. In fact 34 of them have returned with their families that they have raised while putting up on the other side of the LoC.

The policy was approved by the cabinet on November 22, 2010 and an order 1376 (ISA) was issued the next day by the state home department.
