SRINAGAR: A 36-year-old man from Daharmuna village in Budgam district has reportedly been missing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since October 6, prompting his family to approach the police and the Indian Embassy for assistance, Greater Kashmir reported.
The man, Jamsheed Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, had contacted his wife in the early hours of October 6 and told her that he had a flight ticket to return home that day, according to the report.
His wife said the family waited for two days for him to arrive, initially believing that he might have been delayed during his journey. When he did not return, she contacted her brother-in-law and informed him of the situation.
Jamsheed’s brother subsequently contacted the company where he worked in the UAE. The company reportedly told him that Jamsheed had not reported for work for the preceding two days.
His brother has lodged a complaint with Budgam Police regarding the disappearance. He has also sent a complaint by email to the Indian Embassy, seeking assistance in tracing Jamsheed and establishing his whereabouts.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear.
