SRINAGAR: A motorcyclist was killed after his two-wheeler collided with a Tavera vehicle in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Officials said that the accident occurred at Buchoo Kokernag and involved a motorcycle and a Tavera. The rider, identified as Showkat Ahmad Wani (36), son of Mohd Afzal and a resident of Adigam Kokernag, sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
He was initially shifted to Anantnag hospital and later referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. (JKNS)
