Thirty-eight people were injured on Sunday after a bus they were travelling in met with an accident in Udhampur district of Jammu.

The spokesman said that a bus coming from Khourgali to Udhampur met with an accident near Moungri area as the driver lost control over the wheel and rolled into deep gorge resulting in injury to 38 passengers.

District Administration with the help of local people carried the rescue operation and shifted all injured to a nearby hospital. 12 injured persons were referred from PHC Moungri to District hospital Udhampur on Saturday.

As informed by Hospital Authorities five injured person out of 12 have been referred to GMC Jammu.

ADC Udhampur, Dr Gurvinderjeet Singh visited the hospital and further Tehsildar Udhampur has been deputed to GMC Jammu for distribution of relief and monitoring of treatment to injured persons.
