In an interesting case, four gazetted officers were found guilty of using unfair means in their departmental examination.
The four officers were appearing in the Revenue (Services) Executive Departmental Examination, 2012, which was held from 10-11-2012 to 20-11-2012 at Jammu & Srinagar centres, and were found resorting to various types of unfair means detected by the supervisory staff.

The unfair means include incriminating material seized during the course of examination from the officers Muhammad Abbass Mir, under roll no. 141 and Atta Muhammad. Dar, under roll no. 87. Rayyaz Ahmad, under roll no. 107 was caught red handed while consulting some person on mobile phone in washroom during the course of examination. In this case mobile phone was seized and Manohar Singh, under roll no. 20, was caught for taking written notes on his left hand and on a cloth as well.

However, the examination conducting department has confirmed that action will be taken against these officers but  before imposing appropriate punishments under rules upon these candidates, they have been directed to individually show cause within seven days.
