Panic gripped new colony area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir when unidentified gunmen shot dead 40-year-old man Sunday evening.

Identified as Javaid Ahmad Waza, son of Muhammad Ismail Waza, the slain youth was said to be out bail after he was booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) for his alleged involvement in a Flesh Trade racket.

According to locals the incident took place at around 9:05 PM when Waza  was coming out from his relatives place.

Police officials confirmed Kashmir Life that ‘gunshots were fired from an AK-47 rifle. “They added that “he was shifted to the Sub-District hospital of the area, where doctors declared him brought dead.”

Pertinently in November last year there was huge public pressure to arrest Waza as he was accused to be involved in ‘luring girls for flesh trade.’
