SRINAGAR: In a major rescue effort, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday evacuated 47 civilians from the flood-affected village of Fattu Kotli in Akhnoor, Jammu.
According to BSF, the operation was conducted with the help of two helicopters after the area was hit by heavy flooding, posing a threat to the lives of villagers. Officials said the timely action ensured safe evacuation of all stranded civilians.
The BSF reiterated that it remains committed not only to safeguarding the nation’s borders but also to providing immediate relief and assistance to people in times of crisis. (KNC)
