Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geeani has announced to start his political activities from Friday, by visiting the house of Afzal Guru in Doabgah Sopore. Geelani, will address a public meeting in his ancestral town in north Kashmir, Sopore after Friday prayers.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hurriyat (G) said that Geelani will also visit Shopian, Gool, Kishtwar and Sumbal in the later days.
Pertinently, Geelani was released from 235 day long house arrest on Tuesday. Police personnel deployed outside the residence of Geelani left during the night.
Meanwhile after Geelani was released, National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan visited his residence to enquire about his health. Sources said that Khan and Geelani spent some time together and talked about the present political situation.
