The inspections were conducted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, to check punctuality and attendance of employees. Teams led by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), SDMs and Tehsildars visited offices under their respective jurisdictions during working hours.

The DC reiterated that strict disciplinary action will follow in cases of habitual absenteeism and dereliction of duty. He emphasised that Government employees are public servants, and their foremost responsibility is to ensure punctuality and provide efficient services to the citizens.

The DC further directed all controlling officers to regularly monitor the attendance of their subordinates, adding that surprise inspections will continue in the coming days to enforce discipline and accountability. (GNS)
