Kashmir University Students Union (KUSU) strongly condemned the ‘murderous assault’ on a waiter, Riyaz Ahmad, of the University cafeteria Indian National Congress backed organization (NSUI) lead by Junaid Javid Mir.

“The brutal attack has left Riyaz Ahmad on ventilator in intensive care unit of SMHS since yesterday, as he has received serious head injuries. The goons of NSUI ably supported by varsity administration, today again resorted to vandalism and attacked the cafeteria, harassed the visitors and tried to burn the café,” read the statement.

“Although the varsity has officially banned student politics on campus, however it is covertly and overtly supporting the Indian backed student groups, giving them a free hand to do recruitment and other activities in a bid to further Indian occupational interests,” it added.

KUSU in a statement further said that  university authorities are responsible for the vandalism and murderous assault on Riyaz Ahmad.

“The NSUI and other Indian backed student groups have been getting the patronage of Indian and varsity officials. This incident demonstrates that officials are helpless against this minor group in, as was evident in their pleasing of the NSUI goons by being mute spectators. The proctor was trying to appease the NSUI boys so much that he even didn’t dare to touch them,” they said.

“Vice chancellor, Talat Ahmad , as always is being more loyal than king  acting as atypical clerk of a brutal and inhume nation like India,” they added.
