SRINAGAR: On the intervening night of March 1 and 2, a two-hour loophole in Jio network has brought 4G back to slow speed mobiles thus bringing a smile to internet users. Many people mistook the loophole as the restoration of the 4G services and posted welcome messages.

Users were also quick to add wit to their social media updates. “Firewalls are high on weed, showering speed,” wrote Aabid Hussain on his FB timeline.

“It is unbelievable to post status without VPN,” posted a Facebook user Musadiq Mehraj Kashmiri.

Kahim Qayoom, wrote, “Oh bhai, mujhe badahiyan doo meethayian baton sada 4G ghr aaya oh laa leni.”

Khalid Bashir, a Facebook user who missed ‘the two hours’ to deep sleep wrote dirge on his timeline, “heard 4G was restored for 2 Hours Really? Yes, rubbing my eyes in the middle of the night. Please tell me what 4G looks like? Has he grown bearded and with lices? What were the first whisperings while out of jail? Was he also missing me as we do?”

This is the first time since August 5 Kashmir’s were able to post anything without VPN. When Kashmir Life contacted Jio office; they themselves were unaware of the almost two-hour-long loophole. But was it a loophole? And the bigger question is if the ISP did not permit it, how did it happen?
