The incidents occurred in the Bareth Dungar Tok area of Rudraprayag and in the Deval area of Chamoli, leaving locals stranded as heavy rainfall triggered flash floods and landslides.

Dhami said rescue and relief operations had been launched, with teams working to reach those affected despite difficult terrain. He added that he was in constant touch with district officials to monitor the situation.

“I pray to Baba Kedar for the safe well-being of all,” the Chief Minister wrote on X, while assuring that every effort was being made to assist those in danger.

Uttarakhand, prone to flash floods and landslides during the monsoon season, has witnessed multiple weather-related disasters in recent years, raising concerns over vulnerable communities in hilly regions.
