Five persons, including a 35-year-old woman, were killed in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.

A truck skidded off the road and rolled down into 500-feet deep gorge on Srinagar- Jammu highway at Panthal in Ramban district while on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, police sources said.

The body of the truck driver Darshan Singh, of Kathua dwas area was recovered from the gorge, police added.

In an another incident Rattan Bala was hit by a vehicle when she was on her way to drop her son at the bus stand for boarding a school bus in Purkhoo area in the outskirts of Jammu.

Police said that she died on the spot and her body was sent for postmortem to the hospital.

In an another incident, Babu Ram of Himachal Pradsh (HP) and Rakesh Kumar were killed after being hit by unidentified vehicles near Airport road and Kunjawani areas in Jammu district last night.

In yet another incident, Sonu Singh died when he came under a tractor trolley during its repair in Domana area in outskirts of Jammu city yesterday.
