SRINAGAR: Around 53 foreign delegates from G-20 nations, invitee countries and multilateral organizations are participating in the ongoing G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar, sources disclosed.
Quoting sources, KNO reported that 53 delegates including 46 from G-20 and invitee countries and seven from multilateral organizations are taking in the high-profile event being held in SKICC here.
Details reveal that five foreign delegates who arrived here are from Singapore, four each from the United Kingdom and Nigeria, three each from the USA, Australia, Canada, and Spain, two each from Brazil, France, Mauritius, South Korea, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates and one each from Argentina, Bangladesh, Germany, Indonesia, Itlay, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, and Russia.
According to sources, seven delegates are from the European Union and other multilateral organizations like World Trade Organisation (WTO) International Labour Organisation (ILO), and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Notably, this is the first major international event in Kashmir after abrogation of the Article 370 and the reorganization of the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir into two Union Territories.
