In an attempt to commit suicide, a lady name with held resident of Mahrajpora, Sopore sprinkled kerosene oil upon her body and set ablaze herself, a police statement said.
The statement added that the lady was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar with burn injuries and a case has been registered.
Meanwhile, police said that the body of an unknown person which was recovered in Chadoora on 17th march has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Rather son of Fateh Mohammad resident of Hard-u-Divan, Chrar-i-Sharief.
It added that after conducting all medical and legal formalities the body has been handed over to the family members for last rites and the investigation is on.
