SRINAGAR: A 58-year-old man was found dead on Sunday after allegedly hanging himself from an apple tree in his orchard in the Urpora Nagbal area of Shopian district in South Kashmir.
The deceased has been identified as Ab Rashid Dar, son of Ab Ganie Dar, who worked as a shopkeeper.
According to reports, locals discovered the body hanging from a tree in the orchard and immediately alerted the police. A police team soon reached the spot and took the body into custody.
Police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. (KNC)
