SRINAGAR
Two minor children were injured on Sunday when a littered grenade exploded at the encounter site in Manlo village of Shopian.
Three local militants and two army men, including a major, were killed in the encounter on Friday.
Sources said that 12-year-old Amir, and his cousin Nazia Shakeel, 12, were playing outside their house near when a grenade accidentally went off. “The grenade was left unexploded during the encounter,” sources said.
The two children sustained injuries and were rushed to the Hospital.
