SRINAGAR: A six-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a dumper in the Vodhpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, officials said.
Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that the accident occurred when a dumper bearing registration number JK02CR-6027 hit the six-year-old girl, leaving her critically injured. She died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Habsa Ishaq (6), daughter of Mohammad Ishaq Sheikh, a resident of Khuramabad, Vodhpora in Kupwara district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation into the matter.
