Police on Monday said that 60 Kgs of cannabis dust was recovered from a residential house in south Kashmir.

“On a specific information, Islamabad police recovered 60 kg cannabis dust in a premise of a residential house at Sirhama, Sirigufwara,” a police statement said.

The statement added that acting on a tip off, a police party of police station Sirigufwara searched the residential house of Mohammad Younis Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi at Sirhama Sirigufwara. About 60 kgs of cannabis dust was recovered in the premise of residential house. “However, the accused gave a slip to the police and is still at large, the statement said.

A case FIR no: 80/2013 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused in police station Sirigufwara. Police has launched a manhunt to nab the culprit.
