SRINAGAR: A 60-year-old man was injured after a kachha house collapsed in Arai village in the Mandi area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday.
Officials said that Mohd Din, a resident of Arai, sustained injuries in the incident. He was immediately shifted to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital, Poonch, for treatment.
The collapse is believed to have been caused by heavy rain and waterlogging in the area over the past few days.
Authorities have urged residents living in old and vulnerable structures to remain cautious in view of the continuing adverse weather conditions. (GNS)
