SRINAGAR: As many as 68 persons including four new born babies were discharged from JLNM hospital Rainawari on Friday after their repeat samples tested negative.

Nodal Officer, JLNM hospital, Dr Bilquies Shah said of these 68 patients 61 were from district Srinagar, and seven from Kupwara district.

She said that 17 patients were discharged after about one month of hospital stay and 41 patients were discharged after 15-16 days.

“All these patients were asymptomatic,” Dr Shah said, adding that three pregnant women who are in their 2nd/3rd trimester and one woman from Shopian who was COVID-19 positive with full-term pregnancy who underwent LSCS turned negative were also discharged.

“The total discharged patients from JLNM hospital till now are 260. Now total positive patients admitted at JLNM hospital at present are 73 in general Isolation Wards and 15 COVID-19 positive pregnant patients in Gynae Isolation Ward,” Dr Bilquies said.
