SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old man died after allegedly shooting himself with a 12-bore gun in Kalakote area of Rajouri district on Monday.
Official sources said that the deceased has been identified as Pritam Dass, a resident of Mohalla Hilla, village Renthal under Dharmsal Police Station.
Sources said the man sustained critical injuries after he shot himself at his residence around 2 pm. He was immediately rushed by his family members to SDH Sunderbani, but succumbed to injuries on the way.
Cognisance has been taken and further investigation started. (KNC)
