Executive Engineer (Mechanical city drainage division) SMC Tuesday claimed that 76 dewatering stations catering the drainage network in and around the city are operational and there is no submergence in the areas.
“In addition to this, 50 diesel-driven mobile pumping units are deployed at various sites,” he said, “which include low-line areas of Srinagar.”
He said that other water-logged sites are being attended as and when the pumping units get retrieved for the already deployed sites.
Pertinently, after fresh rain and snowfall, residents of various parts of Srinagar have compliant that their areas have been water-logged and that SMC has failed to take any action.
