The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday said that 79666 number of Labour cardholders have been registered under the J&K BOCW(RE & CS) Act, 1996 during the last three years.

In a written reply to a question of MLC Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, Minister In-charge Labour and Employment informed in the Legislative Council that amount of Rs 2.15 crores has been received from 127626 number of registered BOC, workers on account of renewal of their cards in 2016-18.

In district Poonch 1237, 3703 in Doda,Kishtwar 2152, Rajouri 1417, Jammu 723, Udhampur 5410,  Reasi 307, Ramban 4436, Kathua 1964, Samba 954, Srinagar 3290, Kulgam 1239, Islamabad 3382, Shopian 25475, Pulwama 1168, BUdgam 1657, Kupwara 1559, Baramulla 8554, Bandipora 980, Ganderbal 408, Leh 1197 and Kargil 8454 workers have been registered during last three years.

Minister said that 871 number of cases under disability and deaths assistance Scheme are pending as of now in the state.
