SRINAGAR: The Ladakh Administration has assigned 25 officers to duties related to the Independence Day celebrations to be held on August 15, 2026.
The General Administration Department issued Order No. 362-LA(GAD) of 2026 on August 7 from the UT Secretariat in Leh, under file number F. No. A/317/2021-O/o Un Secy-GAD.
The officers detailed for the celebrations include Faizal Ahmad Tantray, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner, State Tax; Amir Suhail, JKAS, Under Secretary, Civil Aviation Finance and PD and MD/Health and Medical Education Department; Atul Singh Mankotia, JKAS, Under Secretary, Labour and Employment/Tourism and Culture and Information Public Relations; Nilza Angmo, JKAS, Under Secretary, FSCand CA/YSS/EC and Election; Jigmet Angchok, JKAS, Under Secretary, LSS/SR; Sanjat Bhardwaj, JKAS, Under Secretary, Secretariat Information Technology/S and T/RDD; Imtisaal Rasool, JKAS, Under Secretary, Industries and Commerce/Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries and PDD; and Anupam Bhardwaj, JKAS, Under Secretary, Legal/Vigilance Department/Forest, Ecology and Environment/Revenue Department.
The list also includes Tsewang Nurboo and Namgail Dorjay, Assistant Directors Planning, PD and MD, UTL; Sonam Chorol, Accounts Officer, Office of Conservator of Forest; Yangchan Dolma, Accounts Officer, Directorate of Sheep Husbandry; Stanzin Dolma, Accounts Officer, Directorate of Urban Local Bodies; Sonam Tundup, Assistant Director Planning, PD and MD, UTL; Tsering Angmo, Accounts Officer (LIFMS); and Rigzin Tamchos, Accounts Officer, Pay and Accounts Office, Leh.
Zubair Hafiz has been detailed as Assistant Director Planning, Transport/A and H Department, UT Secretariat, while Jigmat Yangzom and Tsewang Gurmet have been listed as Accounts Officers in the Finance Department.
The remaining officers are Padma Angmo, Assistant Director Planning, Directorate of Industries and Commerce; Nazir Hussain, Accounts Officer, RTO; Sonam Stobgyal, Accounts Officer, Director of Accounts and Treasuries; Stanzin Youtok, Accounts Officer, Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries; and Konchok Sherap, Assistant Director Planning, Directorate of E and S.
The order contains a second entry for Sonam Chorol, under serial number 25, as Accounts Officer, Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries. Her first entry, at serial number 11, lists her as Accounts Officer, Office of Conservator of Forest.
The officers have been asked to attend a briefing session at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Leh, whenever instructions are issued by the concerned office.
The Deputy Commissioner, Leh, has also been authorised to deploy district officers working under his control according to the requirements for the celebrations.
