8th Central Pay Commission Delegation to Visit Jammu Kashmir 

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has stated that the delegation of the 8th Central Pay Commission will visit the Union Territory from May 31 to June 5, 2026, to engage with stakeholders including government employees, unions and associations as part of its consultative process.

According to an official communication issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division), a key interaction and presentation session with the Union Territory administration is scheduled for June 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Meeting Hall CR-3, Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre.

The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Secretary and attended by senior officers from multiple departments. The invitation has been extended to Additional Chief Secretaries of Jal Shakti, Power Development, Tourism, Agriculture, Finance, and Public Works (R and B), as well as officials from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Principal Secretaries of key departments, including Home, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, and the Election Department, along with senior officials from the General Administration Department and the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, have also been directed to participate.

The visit is intended to facilitate the collection of inputs and representations from various stakeholders on pay structures, service conditions and related matters, which will form part of the Commission’s broader review exercise.
