Forces on Wednesday morning cordoned off Gofebal and Gretebal areas of the village Qaimoh in district Kulgam and started massive search operations.
Locals informed Kashmir Life that loud speakers of mosques were used to announce the crackdown. “It was like nineties that we were asked to assemble outside our houses,” Ghulam Mohammad, a local said.
He said that traffic on busy Kulgam-Qaimoh road was suspended massive searches were going on in the area and people are being questioned.
Qaimoh is a village which witnessed massive violent protests since Afzal Guru was hanged, early in the year.
