According to the Commission, a total of 958 candidates have qualified the examination and have been recommended for appointment to various central civil services.

The civil services examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages — preliminary, mains and interview — for recruitment to services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

The Commission stated that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates remains provisional.

Earlier, the Centre had reported 1,087 vacancies to be filled through the examination.

The UPSC also informed that candidates can seek clarification regarding the examination or recruitment through its facilitation counter located near the examination hall at its campus on working days between 10 am and 5 pm, either in person or via telephone.

The marks of candidates will be uploaded on the official website within 15 days of the declaration of the results, the Commission added.
