SRINAGAR: Kashmir glamour boy, Roman Shawl finally joined the long list of men and boys who had or were rumoured to have a relationship with former Ms Universe as Sushmita Sen finally decided to marry Lalit Modi, the first chairman of Indian Premier League (IPL). The news came on Thursday after Modi and Sen made their relationship official in text and photographs.
“Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon,” wrote Modi. His admission on social media came in response to a barrage of rums about the old cricket manager marking the tinsel town diva secretly. He shared a series of pictures including the one in which she is seen flashing a beautiful ring in her ring finger. It is presumed to be the testimony of her engagement.

The ‘engagement’ came almost a year after she broke up with her Kashmir boyfriend, Rohman Shawl after they lived together for three years. They had met through Instagram DMs in 2018 and even though they had bonded with the families each other, it still proved a short-lived affair. Even after the break-off, both claimed to be friends. “We began as friends, we remain friends!! , Sen had written in the epitaph of their affair. “The relationship was long over…the love remains!!”
Now, it is Lalit Modi, who, after announcing the relationship has changed his Instagram bio to “finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47.” Not only the bio, but Modi also changed his Insta profile pic and replaced it with his and the Aarya actress’s pic.
Interestingly, only last month Sen appeared on Twinkle Khanna’s show revealing that she didn’t get married primarily because her kids (two adopted daughters) were her priority and that, “the men in her life were a let-down.”
Sen, it may be recalled here, has been dating a lot of celebrities within and outside Bollywood. It is interesting, however, that when Sen separated from Shawl, Modi was one of the few people who liked the development. Modi is a businessman, who was very close to the BJP before he fled to the UK in wake of Enforcement Directorate investigations. Currently, he is a fugitive.

Shawl, an actor-model has not yet reacted to her relationship with businessman Lalit Modi. The latest post shared by Shawl on his Instagram handle is a glimpse of his forthcoming project, titled, My Father’s Doctor. Sharing the poster of the short film, which is yet to be released, he wrote, “Doctor Kabir at your service First look at our short film is here”.
