State Bharatiya Janata Party chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi, in a press statement, said that abrogation of Article 370 and its aftermath including Article 35A  are core Agenda of Bharatiya Janata Party and the party has never left and abandoned its core agenda. “Only for the purposes of running coalition government in the state the party has decided to not press for Abrogation of art 370 while in govt but in no way the agenda is left.”

“Sunil Sethi further said that abrogation of Article 370 and nationalism are the bloodline of Bharatiya Janata Party and the very existence of the party is on these issues. Article 370 in fact has created situation which has lead to breeding grounds for separatism and militancy in the state and its effects have been used by vested elements to talk about non existing sub nationalism which is core reasons for all problems of the state,” the statement said.

He further said that any person given to nationalism and who has India in his heart will find it prudent only to stand against all such laws and situations which creates artificial walls between people of the state and the country which inter Alia blocks the integrated progress and development of the state.

Sunil Sethi called upon all leaders of other parties opposing Bharatiya Janata Party stand on Art 370 to do introspection after keeping their political benefits aside and with only interest of people and state in focus. It will surely lead all to conclusion that biggest enemy for people of State and their integrated growth with nation is Article 370 and its aftermath.
