The Deputy Commissioner, Leh Monday suspended 14 officials of various departments who were found absent from their duties during the surprise checking of different departments.
The DC also ordered an inquiry against the suspended officials for which Dr Zahida Bano, Chief Executive Officer, LDA, Leh and Tsering Angchuk, Chief Planning Officer Leh were appointed as inquiry officers, an official statement issued here said.
